Is Stetsons & Stilettos a dance?
No, Stetsons & Stilettos is not a dance. Live music is provided as background music for guests to enjoy while mingling, participating in the silent auction, and enjoying the food and beverages donated by local restaurants.
Do I have to wear a cowboy hat and/or stilettos to the event?
Absolutely not! Although the theme of Stetsons & Stilettos is a Western affair, hats, boots, and stilettos are not required. An alternative to Western attire is business casual.
Do I have to spend a $1,000 if I go to the auction?
No. The range of items being auctioned off is very broad. Minimum bids will start at $15 up to a couple hundred dollars. You can bid on an item within your budget. There will be something for everyone!
Do I have to purchase something if I go to the auction?
No. There is no minimum purchase required to attend the auction. Even though we strive to offer auction items that appeal to the majority of people, we do understand that not everyone will find something they want.
Do I have to pay for my food and drinks at Stetsons & Stilettos?
No. The price of your reservation includes all food and beverages at the event.
Is childcare provided at the event?
No. Stetsons & Stilettos is an adults-only event. However, Stanley Elementary PTA has made arrangements with Westwood Gymnastics to allow parents attending Stetsons & Stilettos to drop their children off at their open gym October 14th as early as 6:30 p.m. For more information, please see the “Babysitting” ribbon on the Stetsons & Stilettos webpage.
When do I pay for the auction items I win?
All auction items must be paid for prior to leaving the event on October 14th. Payments may be made with a credit card or personal check.
Is everyone going to be able to see what I am bidding on?
No. All silent auction bidding is going to be done anonymously. Each person will receive a sheet of stickers with a personal barcode. No identifying information is included.
Is my donation of goods and/or services to the auction tax deductible?
Yes! All donations made to the auction are tax deductible!
