Programs at Stanley 2011 - 2012
Character Development/Anti – Bullying Program
This program teaches all students how to identify bullying and gives them tools to handle difficult situations. The program will also promote examples of good behavior and provide positive reinforcement for everyone to follow!
Reflections
This art program gives all students an opportunity to express themselves and create works of art for fun and recognition. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help facilitate this program – NO ART EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!!!!
Character Development/Spring Program
This program will include a positive character enhancing message that will promote kindness, integrity and respect.
Red Ribbon Week
This program teaches all students to make healthy lifestyle choices by saying no to drugs. It is a fun way to promote self - confidence and esteem!
5th Grade Aerospace Program
Mission Objective: To create an opportunity for 5th grade students to learn and apply mathematics, science, computer technology, and problem solving skills through the completion of a twenty-four hour space mission aboard a student designed and built spacecraft at Stanley Elementary.
Eureka Science Program
Students will learn about the world around them through chemical and physical experiments. The labs are designed to be a fun and interesting way to explore science and learn!! All grade levels will participate – NO SCIENCE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!!!!!!!
Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement is a hands - on, experiential program that teaches the concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to young children. Sign up to teach these sessions!!
Spring Olympics
Classes will represent countries from around the world and come together to compete in a variety of events. In doing so, the students will learn about different cultures, customs and traditions of the countries they represent.
Watch D.O.G.S.
Unique volunteer opportunity for fathers and father figures to make a positive contribution by spending a productive day on campus!
After School Lego Club
An after school program where kids use Legos to learn about physics and mechanical property of machines.
After School Marathon Kids
This club promotes healthy living through exercise! Kids will get the opportunity to be part of a running club!! No athletic experience necessary to help out.
Mother / Son Scavenger Hunt
The race is on!! Come join in and compete with other moms/sons to find fun at Stanley. Who knows what you’ll find?! A great way to do something fun with
your son(s)!
After School Art Club
An after school program where kids can create art in a relaxed, fun environment!!
After School Environmental and Gardening Club
Helps students learn about recycling, composting, building a garden, harvesting plants and many more activities to help make our school , neighborhood and Earth more green.
After School Spanish class
Stanley will be offering beginner level and intermediate Spanish on Thursday after school.
